This cake was for my sister's office birthday party. They were celebrating all the summer birthdays. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing.

Bugs and flowers birthday cake

This cake was for a friend's daughter's first birthday. She did a garden theme with bugs and flowers. It was so fun to pipe all these decorations! The cake was chocolate with buttercream icing.

Pink and Brown polka dot "present" cake

I made this cake for a friend who loves pink, brown and polka dots. White almond sour cream cake with white buttercream icing and fondant dots and bow. I included a side view so you can see the dots better.

Gardening cake

This cake was for a friend who loves to work in the garden. Carrot cake with buttercream icing. The flowers, terracotta pots and gardening tools were made out of fondant. The "dirt" was crushed up Oreo cookies. (click on picture for a closer view) This one was lots of fun to make!

Chocolate birthday cake

Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing. This one made the whole house smell like chocolate! Yum!!

Baby Boy shower cake

My first baby shower cake! White cake and buttercream icing with fondant bow. Everyone loved the little baby footprints.

This cake was for a friend celebrating both her sons birthdays. One loves Sponge Bob and the other monster trucks. So fun!!

Rose Cake

I did this cake for my final cake decorating class (Course 1). The cake was raspberry white chocolate cake with raspberry cream cheese filling and buttercream icing.

Baby Bootie Petit Fours

Rainbow cake

This cake was my "homework" for my cake decorating class. We had to bake and ice the cake and bring it to class. Then we learned how to transfer an image (rainbow) onto a cake. It was perfect timing because my in-laws came to visit the next day and we were celebrating my niece's 8th birthday.

Scrapbook cake

Here is a birthday cake that I made to look like a scrapbook page. She loves to scrapbook! The cake is german chocolate with a coconut pecan frosting filling. It is covered in fondant with all decorations fondant as well. This one took a lot of planning but was very fun to make!

Nurse Cake

Here is a birthday cake I made for a friend who is a nurse. Chocolate cake with white buttercream icing. The nurse hat is made out of fondant.

Congratulations Cake

This cake was made for a friend whose husband and brother-in-law just got jobs at the same company (Northrop Grumman). She sent me the company's logo (below) and I was able to duplicate it with fondant. You can't tell from the pictures, but I was able to "marble" blue and black together so it would look like the backgroud on the logo. Pretty cool!

Doll Cake

Here is a doll cake I made for a friend's daughter's 8 year old's birthday party. The dress is made from pink fondant (I love this stuff!) and I made the flowers from royal icing. I even got to do her hair. So fun...and perfect for a little girl's birthday!

I made this cake yesterday for my grandmother's and aunt's birthday party. It was my first attempt using fondant. It was a lot of work (trial and error) but really fun! Next time will be much easier. I am learning a lot as I go...
