I made this cake yesterday for my grandmother's and aunt's birthday party. It was my first attempt using fondant. It was a lot of work (trial and error) but really fun! Next time will be much easier. I am learning a lot as I go...

Do you make your own fondant or use ready to use? I really want to try fondant. A friend tried showing me with her own marshmallow based fondant recipe but it was dry and cracked really bad and was really hard to work with. There is no way we would have been able to do anything like you are doing with fondant with that stuff lol
