Baby Bootie Petit Fours

These petit fours were for baby girl shower. White cake, lemon filling, and buttercream icing. (Click on picture for closer view.)

Rainbow cake

This cake was my "homework" for my cake decorating class. We had to bake and ice the cake and bring it to class. Then we learned how to transfer an image (rainbow) onto a cake. It was perfect timing because my in-laws came to visit the next day and we were celebrating my niece's 8th birthday.

Scrapbook cake

Here is a birthday cake that I made to look like a scrapbook page. She loves to scrapbook! The cake is german chocolate with a coconut pecan frosting filling. It is covered in fondant with all decorations fondant as well. This one took a lot of planning but was very fun to make!

Nurse Cake

Here is a birthday cake I made for a friend who is a nurse. Chocolate cake with white buttercream icing. The nurse hat is made out of fondant.

Congratulations Cake

This cake was made for a friend whose husband and brother-in-law just got jobs at the same company (Northrop Grumman). She sent me the company's logo (below) and I was able to duplicate it with fondant. You can't tell from the pictures, but I was able to "marble" blue and black together so it would look like the backgroud on the logo. Pretty cool!

Doll Cake

Here is a doll cake I made for a friend's daughter's 8 year old's birthday party. The dress is made from pink fondant (I love this stuff!) and I made the flowers from royal icing. I even got to do her hair. So fun...and perfect for a little girl's birthday!
